Lookie what she made: Reversible boy’s vest

Saltwater Kids made this reversible vest for her son out of an adult-sized windbreaker and button-down shirt.  The pocket on the button-down shirt becomes an interior pocket on the vest.  Brilliant!  See more photos of her refashion at Saltwater Kids.

Free Expression is mine

It’s Leah Day’s fault I just bought the book Free Expression: The Art and Confessions of a Contemporary Quilter, by Robbi Eklow. She mentioned it in her latest blog post over at 365 Days of Free Motion Quilting as the reason she is embracing fusible applique. While I was shopping I also picked up art + quilt. My bad.
