Cool idea: Double-sided dishtowel

Check out this entry in the recent Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival In the Shadow of the Mill, Footsteps in Time created by Jacqueline O’Brien. I love how she incorporated photos in her quilt. I spied this in Carol Miller’s Quilt University gallery. She made the trip to Virginia and thankfully is sharing the quilt show with us.

Kristin from Grace Violet  made this ruffled edge cloche hat for an infant.  She started with a less than trendy knit baby hat.  A few cuts and some lettuce-edge stitching, and she had this flapper-style hat.  I can just see those layers of ruffles around a sweet new baby’s head!  Want to make one?
