Toronto Island Concert

The Toronto Island Concert is this Saturday! Head over to the official site to see the set times (also listed below) as well as what fans are permitted to bring.

As well, because the show falls on the same weekend as North By Northeast, the first 250 NXNE bracelets/badges at the Mainland Ferry Box Office will get free admission. Tickets at GalleryAC.com are sold out, but there are still a few left at Ticketmaster.

As well, GalleryAC will be on site with a pop-up store on the island. Come on by to browse and shop the music and merch from the entire Arts & Crafts roster. The store will be announcing promotions via Twitter all day long; follow the tweets @GalleryAC to stay in the loop.

This Movie Is Broken

This Movie Is Broken
is the latest film from Canadian filmmaker Bruce McDonald (Hard Core Logo, The Tracey Fragments) and it stars Broken Social Scene, who were filmed at last summer's legendary Harbourfront show.

The movie will open June 25 in Toronto (Scotiabank Theatre) and Vancouver (The Tinseltown), and there will be special screenings on June 17 in New York and Toronto. Sally Seltmann

1

Sally Seltmann may be best known for co-crafting Feist's "1234" but the Australian songstress also carries a collection of soaring, sugary pop gems that are all her own. Sally will spend June in North America, delighting audiences across the continent with performances in support of her latest record Heart That's Pounding. The tour concludes in Hollywood at month's end and features a Toronto stop at Supermarket on the Friday of NXNE.

graces the cover of this week's NOW Magazine to promote the two shows they have coming up this week at NXNE, June 18 at the Gladstone and June 19's Toronto Island Concert with Pavement and Broken Social Scene.

Jason Collett is presently making his was across the U.S. East Coast supporting Tift Merritt before doing the rounds on the Canadian festival circuit this summer. In addition to the previously announced dates, Jason has added a hometown show at the Mod Club on July 21 with Daniel, Fred & Julie providing support, tickets are available now at GalleryAC. NXNE, the annual Toronto festival now in full swing, and in addition to the Toronto Island Show, we have some great gig lined up Sally Seltmann is returning to North America, and will play the Supermarket on June 18, Zeus will play the CBC Radio 2 official NXNE Showcase June 17 at The Rivoli with Buck 65 and Grand Analog. Still Life Still will play the Mod Club as part of 102.1 The Edge, and Timber Timbre will headline the NOW Magazine showcase at the Gladstone this Friday.
