Keep your garden beautiful by stopping weeds. A 2- to 3-inch-deep layer of mulch keeps most weeds at bay and helps maintain soil moisture during dry periods. And if you choose an organic mulch (such as straw, shredded bark, cocoa hulls, etc.), it slowly breaks down and improves your soil.
Effort-Saving Tip:
Be sure to pull weeds when they are young, before they have a chance to mature and spread seeds throughout your garden. Plus, small weeds are easier to yank out of the ground.
