I can't wait for our first Sugarloaf show of 2010 because - just like you - I get
to reconnect with the artists I've known and loved for years, and meet "first timers"
with fantastic new talents! We pride ourselves on bringing you a diverse crafts
experience, and one way we do that is by welcoming dozens of new, inspiring artists
to the Sugarloaf family every year. It's wonderful to see their fresh inspiration,
creative techniques, and imaginative works.
This week, I want to introduce you to some exceptional artists who will be making
their Sugarloaf debut this weekend in Chantilly. The eclectic mix of new artists
illustrates the variety of crafts and art you'll find throughout the show! Be sure

Janeil Stewart: From sonic art to wall art - Janeil Stewart recycles old CDs to
make her distinctive wall clocks. She superimposes nature images onto the CDS or
hand paints them to create the clock faces for her beautiful creations.

Nance Sturm: Made using soft Alpaca, Nance creates a variety of comfy crafts - from
gloves, hats and outwear, to clothing, and even yarn. But I love her for the vintage-style
stuffed animals she lovingly creates. Her plush and cuddly circus of lions, elephants,
and monkeys are absolutely adorable, and great gifts for children.
