Tutorial: Use French seams to avoid raw edges on your seam allowance

If floppy raw-edged seam allowances on the inside of your sewing projects seam messy to you, why not give a French seam a try?  A French seam encloses the raw edges and stitches them down to the underside of the fabric.  Amber from Ruffles and Roses shows how to achieve this seam finish.  Get the tute.

Over at Quilting with Kimberly student and friend Cindy Fox sent in this photo of the quilt she made from one of the patterns in Kimberly’s book Jelly Roll Quilts and More. Cindy used Moda’s Frolic fabric line in the quilt. It’s so pretty; I’m glad she shared it with us. I found some Frolic at Hancock’s of Paducah.
