Dear Sugarloaf Community,
Football's big day is this Sunday - the Super Bowl! Whether you're a casual fan
or sports fanatic, it's easy to get swept up in the excitement of the game - lots
of action, the famous commercials, and - my personal favorite - great parties! Speaking
of parties and Super Bowls...have we got some super bowls for you!
From elaborately decorative to practical and functional, our artists craft fantastic
bowls of all shapes, sizes, and styles, and in a wide array of mediums, including
glass, wood, and stoneware. Whether you're throwing a party or just looking for
a special home accent, you're sure to find the perfect piece from a Sugarloaf artist.
While the Super Bowl is the end of the professional football season, it's just the
beginning of the Spring craft show season for Sugarloaf's professional artists.
Here are just a few of the talented craftspeople who will be exhibiting their "Super

Margarita Carreras: Margarita takes the term "turnover" in a different direction
with her hand-painted bowls. Her wonderful pieces are painted on the underside
in vivid colors with flashy metallic accents. Her painting takes many forms, including
abstract color-blocking, nature-inspired, and interpretations of the human form.

Trudi Clark: A little history is embossed into each of Trudi's creations - vintage
1920's lace, to be exact. Trudi was inspired by a swath of her grandmother's lace,
and now adorns her bowls and serving platters with the intricate fabric patterns.

Marilyn Kimble Holt: Made from swirling ribbons of bright multicolored glass, Marilyn's
bowls and home accents, including sculpture and desk accessories, will add a pop
of color to any room. Ruffled and wavy around the edges, her bowls have a fluid
form that softens their shape and creates an interesting ripple effect in the glass.

Rodney Meyer: The clean lines and vivid colors of Rodney's work are distinctly contemporary,
finished with speckled glazes symbolic of more traditional ceramics. From tiny tea

kitchen - as functional as they are beautiful.
